Who We Are
Waldorf Deck Builders is a local deck building company serving Waldorf and Charles County, Maryland. We do one thing: design and build custom decks. No siding, no roofing, no kitchen remodels on the side. Decks are our craft, and that focus shows in every board we set.
We started this company because we saw too many decks in Southern Maryland failing early — boards rotting in five years, railings wobbling, posts heaving out of shallow footings. Most of the time, the problem was not the material. It was the build. Shortcuts during construction show up fast in Maryland's humidity and freeze-thaw cycles. So we build the slow, right way: proper footings, proper flashing, proper drainage, and materials chosen for this climate.
How We Work
- We listen first. Every project starts with how you live — cookouts, kids, a hot tub, quiet mornings. The design follows your life, not a template.
- We build for Maryland. Every deck we build accounts for humid summers, freezing winters, spring pollen, and Charles County soil. Materials and methods are chosen for here, not somewhere else.
- We communicate. You know the schedule, you know the price, and you know what is happening each day on your property. No vanishing contractors.
- We stand behind the work. We do a final walkthrough with you on every project and make sure every detail is right before we finish.
What We Build
From simple single-level wood decks to low-maintenance composite decks, multi-level designs, pergolas, covered porches, pool decks, and the finishing touches like railings and lighting — if it is a deck, we build it. We also repair and restore aging decks and resurface decks whose frames are still solid.
Serving Our Neighbors
We work exclusively in Waldorf and Charles County — La Plata, White Plains, Bryans Road, Indian Head, Hughesville, and the surrounding communities. Being local means we know the Charles County permit process, the local HOAs, and what holds up in this climate. When you hire us, you are hiring neighbors.
